The kids have been learning so much about reducing, re-using, and recycling! This wonderful artwork shows their ideas about how they can make a difference in the world this way. It is a multi-media project, because they re-used paper to make their own paper, which they glued to the drawing paper. Then they narrated it with their description. For example, the one that says, "I can reduce by using less gas" has a footprint on the handmade paper. Maybe this illustrates walking as an alternative to driving? Some other ideas include riding an elephant to school instead of driving a car, using your car to give electricity to your house, re-using plastic bottles, and taking things (even huge things) to the recycling.
Also, in another project, they learned what beautiful results they can get when they cut up paper that has already been colored, and re-use it to make a something else (in this case, a flower).
